THE TISDALE-WOODS FOUNDATION STORY
Our story began in 1926, with the establishment of a medical clinic created for people of color who were not allowed care in traditional hospital settings. The health center provided medical, dental, and minor surgical procedures that laid the foundation for what we now call community-based care. We honor this history by developing innovative new ways to serve our neighbors in need. What began as a local effort has grown into a nationally recognized care model.

As a trailblazer in this space, we are uniquely positioned to transform the way healthcare is delivered. We have built strong partnerships with government agencies and hospital systems to ensure long-term sustainability and allow access to critical infrastructure. These collaborations allow us to expand our reach into high-need areas where medical care is often delayed or unavailable. Today, the Tisdale-Woods Foundation stands ready to scale our impact through non-traditional models of care, reaffirming our legacy as a community-led leader in healthcare.
